ABOUT Name: Spike aka William the Bloody Date of birth: April 14, 1853 Date of death: September 21, 1880 Place of Birth: London, England Age: 151 APPEARANCE Height: 5’ 10” Eyes: Blue Hair: Bleached blond Distinguishing Features and Traits: With his punk rock style and bleached blonde hair he resembles Billy Idol, but don’t bring that up as it is a touchy subject with him as he maintains that the rock star stole his look. He has a Y/V shaped scar above his left eyebrow that received from the Chinese Slayer during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900. He almost always wears his trademark black leather duster that he took as a trophy from the Slayer he killed in New York 1977. HISTORY Turned by Drusilla in 1880 William the Bloody became the fourth member of the feared Scourge Of Europe. Embracing his undead status, he gained notoriety by actively seeking out slayers, eventually killing two before arriving in Sunnydale California intent on making Buffy Summers his third. Through a strange turn of events (and a secret government agency implanting a behavior modification chip in his head) he did not kill Buffy, but instead fell in love with her. In an attempt to gain her affection he begins to help the Scooby gang in their fight against evil, even going as far as to protect Buffy’s sister from a hell god. After Buffy’s death and subsequent return from heaven, they began an unhealthy and destructive sexual relationship which leads to him traveling to Africa to regain his soul in order to be worthy her. He returns to Sunnydale in time to help fight the most recent and largest apocalypse to date, which resulted in him sacrificing his life to save the world. However his death didn’t stick and he was brought back to unlife in the middle of his grandsire’s LA office. He spent the next year alternately annoying Angel and helping to once again save the world. PERSONALITY Spike was always an anomaly in the vampire world as he retained much more of his humanity than most vamps do upon their turning. With or without a soul he has a strong sense of honor and loyalty and loves and protects those close to him fiercely. Many of his actions, whether good or evil, are motivated by love for either Drusilla or Buffy and in his own words, he may be love’s bitch, but at least he is man enough to admit it. He loves violence and even when the chip made him incapable of harming humans he enjoyed brawling and killing other demons. He can be rash and impulsive, often devising long and involved plans only to get bored and throw them out the window. He has a dry and sarcastic sense of humor and has no problem making fun of those around him. He adapts easily to new situations and embraces the changing times, taking joy in modern conveniences and pop culture especially enjoying the soap opera Passions. He can also be extremely perceptive and insightful especially with regard to relationships and personalities of others. Although he would rather eat you than admit it, he retained quite a bit of his human intellect and love for literature and poetry. MISC.
